Taste of Pearl is a full-service Sri Lankan catering company owned and operated by Chef Kal Peiris and Lacey. Named after Sri Lanka — the "Pearl of the Indian Ocean" — we bring the vibrant flavors, aromas, and traditions of Sri Lankan cuisine to events throughout the Portland, Oregon metro area.

We are an Asian and Women Owned Business based in Hillsboro, Oregon.

- **Private Event Catering**: Birthday parties, family reunions, graduation celebrations, baby showers, and social events at your home or venue.
- **Wedding Catering**: Full-service wedding catering with personal tasting sessions, custom menu design, professional staff, elegant banana leaf and clay pot presentations, and complete cleanup.
- **Wednesday Dinner Box**: Weekly rotating dinner box specials available every Wednesday — restaurant-quality Sri Lankan food for pickup.

Our menu features over 80 dishes spanning:

- **Vegetable Curries**: Ash plantain, beetroot, cashew, lentil, mango, pineapple, potato, pumpkin, and more — all naturally vegan and gluten-free
- **Meat & Fish Curries**: Beef, chicken, fish, goat, lamb, pork, shrimp — slow-cooked in coconut milk with freshly ground spice blends
- **Deviled Dishes**: Fiery stir-fried meats and seafood with caramelized onions, peppers, and chili
- **BBQ & Grilled**: Curry-marinated chicken, beef, lamb, pork, and stuffed banana peppers
- **Signature Dishes**: Buriyani, Sri Lankan Lunch Box, Lamprais (banana leaf-wrapped heritage dish)
- **Sambols**: Coconut sambol (pol sambol) and seeni sambol — essential Sri Lankan condiments
- **Rice**: White, brown, yellow (turmeric coconut), vegetable fried rice
- **Kottu**: Sri Lanka's iconic street food — chopped roti stir-fried with egg, onions, and spices
- **Noodles & String Hoppers**: Delicate steamed rice flour noodle nests

All dishes are made from scratch. Many are naturally vegan (V) and gluten-free (GF). We accommodate all dietary needs.
